AI table bookings

Your AI phone line books tables too

The AI that answers your missed calls also books tables: from your own table book, by your hours and your rules, so you can fill tables on the calls nobody picks up. Your host stand sees every booking on a phone or tablet.

$79 a month on top of the AI phone line, with 500 reminder texts a month.

  1. AI assistantHi, you've reached Casa Verde. I'm their automated AI assistant, and this call is recorded and transcribed. Say "staff" anytime to reach a person. What can I get for you?

  2. CallerDo you have a table for four on Friday at 7:30?

  3. AI assistant7:30 on Friday is full. I can do 7 o'clock or 8:15. Which works for you?

  4. Caller8:15, please. It's Maria.

  5. AI assistantCan I text you a confirmation now and a reminder an hour before, at the number you're calling from? You can reply STOP anytime.

  6. CallerYes, please.

  7. AI assistantYou're booked, Maria: Friday at 8:15 PM, a table for four. Your confirmation is on its way.

An example call. The AI's words vary; its rules don't.

How a booking call goes

  1. 1. It checks your real book

Every time is checked against your tables, hours, turn times and the bookings already in, during the call. It never offers a table that isn't free.

  2. 2. Full? It offers the nearest times

The nearest free times that day or another, and the bar for a party of two when you've turned that on.

  3. 3. Big parties go to your team

Above the party size you set, and for private events, set menus and deposits, it connects the caller to your staff.

  4. 4. Read back, then texted

It reads the booking back. With the guest's yes, it texts a confirmation and a reminder an hour before; a reply of 2 frees the table.

Your host stand sees it all

The same table book on any phone or tablet, installed from the browser: no app store, no new system to learn.

  • Tonight's bookWho's coming, who's late, who replied to their reminder, on any phone or tablet.
  • Every table at a glanceFree, in use, held for a booking or over its usual time, with the guest's name on it.
  • Walk-ins and big partiesSeat a walk-in in two taps, or put a big party on tables pushed together.
  • A gentle table checkA table seated past its usual time gets one quiet question: still eating, or free?
  • Ask about your bookType a question in plain words. Ask reads your book; it can't change it, so check anything important.
  • Every change has a nameEach booking keeps its history: what changed, when, and who did it, the AI, the guest by text, or your team.

What it does

  • Says it's an AI and that the call is recorded, before anything else
  • Books only tables your book shows free, checked during the call
  • Reads every booking back before it's final
  • Hands the call to your staff when a guest says "staff"
  • Keeps to your hours, closed days, turn times and how many guests you seat at once

What it won't do

  • Invent a free table, or book a time you're closed
  • Book a party above your phone limit, a private event or anything needing a deposit: that's your team's call
  • Text a guest who didn't say yes
  • Send a promo without a texted YES, or before 9 AM or after 8 PM
  • Take a card number or a deposit by phone

Your guests' details, handled with care

  • Your guest book is yours: export it as a spreadsheet anytime.
  • Delete a guest when they ask. Their "stop texts" is kept, so they're never texted again.
  • Guest cards go 18 months after the last visit; notes about allergies or access needs go 90 days after the booking.
  • Every text names your restaurant and how to stop. A guest who replies STOP gets no more texts.
  • Questions typed into Ask go to Google's Gemini with names and notes, never full phone numbers, and aren't used to train it.
  • We never sell guests' details.

Questions

Do guests know they're talking to an AI?

Yes. Every call starts with it: "Hi, you've reached your restaurant. I'm their automated AI assistant, and this call is recorded and transcribed. Say "staff" anytime to reach a person. What can I get for you?" A guest who says "staff" is connected to your team.

Does it work with OpenTable or Resy?

It doesn't connect to them. It keeps its own table book, the one your host stand uses, so a booking by phone and a walk-in can never take the same table. If you also take bookings somewhere else, the settings ask about it and warn you about double bookings.

What about big parties and special requests?

You set the biggest party the AI books. Bigger parties, private events, set menus, deposits and complaints go to your staff, with the caller's number on your screen if nobody picks up.

Can my team still take bookings by hand?

Yes. Add a booking from a phone call, seat a walk-in, block a time for a private event, all in the same book the AI uses.

What does it cost?

$79 a month on top of the AI phone line ($149 a month), with 500 reminder texts a month included; 500 more for $10 if you need them. One account, one bill. Turn it on or off anytime.

How do I turn it on?

On your phone line's dashboard, open Bookings and switch it on. Then set your tables and booking hours, and the AI starts booking on the calls it answers.
