  2. The full report and plan

For the whole picture, the report is a one-time $9.99: dollar estimates for every leak, a 72-hour plan, a 30-day roadmap, team cards and worksheets, on screen and by email. The $19.99 report also works from your real numbers and includes a check-up after your plan's first full month.

No subscription, no account. Fixed formulas set every figure; Google's Gemini writes the words around them.

  3. Ask the AI restaurant expert

Ask about food cost, labor, tips, prices or your state's rules, so you can decide with numbers you can check. It answers from RestaurantDoctorAI's own sourced library, runs this site's calculators for the math, and lists its sources under each answer.

5 free questions, no sign-up. Then $9.99 once for a 30-day pass, up to 50 questions a day. It never renews.

Questions go to Google's Gemini to be answered. We keep how many you ask each day, never what you ask.

    What it answers from

    • 12guides on costs, labor, prime cost, rent, delivery and more
    • 17blog posts on what's changing for restaurants
    • 28step-by-step fixes from the paid report's playbook
    • 270sourced how-tos, rules and checklists
    • 23sourced facts, each with the day it was checked
    • 5types of restaurant, each with RestaurantDoctorAI's targets

351 entries in all, each with where to check it.

    average score, out of 5

Each answer scored by a stronger AI model, before and after the knowledge build of October 10, 2026.

    How it's built

    • It looks things up first

Before it answers a restaurant question, it searches its library of 351 entries, and reads the whole entry for a how-to, a checklist or a rule. It doesn't browse the web.

    • Calculators do the math

Give it your figures and it runs one of 6 of this site's calculators, then answers from the result, never from math in its head. State tipped wages come from the US Department of Labor's table.

    • A number check in our code

Any figure that didn't come from a tool result, its built-in targets and facts, or your own words gets one rewrite. If it's still there, its sentence is cut.

    • Careful with law and tax

It gives the rule, its official source and who to check with, and a wording check rewrites any answer that says “yes, you can”. It says it's an AI, and it isn't legal, tax or financial advice.

  4. Free calculators

7 free tools: the prime cost calculator, labor cost calculator, break-even calculator, food cost calculator, delivery app price calculator, deadline calendar and menu calorie counter, worked out from your own figures, so you can check a number before you act on it. Free, no sign-up.

Behind every number

How we keep it honest

  • Formulas set the numbers

The check's grades and dollar figures come from fixed formulas. The free check uses no AI, and in the report AI writes only the words around the figures.

  • Our targets are called ours

They're RestaurantDoctorAI's targets for each type of restaurant. Where an independent source publishes a line, ours match it; the rest are our own, and we check them against the National Restaurant Association's latest medians.

  • Sources you can check

Guides and blog posts link their sources where they use them, every deadline links its official page, and the AI expert lists its sources under each answer.

  • No logins to your systems

We never ask for POS, bank or accounting logins. The figures are estimated ranges from your answers, not an audit of your books.
